Vision & Mission

ASA was founded in 2023 with the vision of improving surgical practical experience and research in South Africa.

There is a great need to have better access to competent surgery within South Africa.

Our aim is to assist and improve research and access to funding for research in surgery within South Africa that will in turn improve the exposure to medical training and business practice management for young surgeons.

We aim to partner with thought leaders and researchers in the business and healthcare sphere, to assist and train young surgeons to be better prepared for successively managing a medical practice and to enable them to deliver an enhanced service to their communities.

The ASA Process includes:

Fully functional practice with office, financial and business management support.

IDENTIFICATION DURING STUDY PROGRAM

Talented individuals are scouted during their final year of studies.

INVITATION AND CONNECTION

After interaction opportunities the needs analysis of each specialist is completed.

DETERMINE INCUBATION ACTION

Support programme is customised per specialists needs and limitations.

ROLL OUT THE DREAM

Ensuring roll out and implementation of practice establishment.

MONITORING

Mentoring and coaching through a rigid monitoring process to ensure sustainability.
