ASA (Pty) Ltd is a Level 2, Broad Based Black Economic Empowered Company with 51% Black shareholding. The black shareholding within ASA consists of the selected black participants within the research programs at selected universities.

Vision & Mission

ASA was founded in 2023 with the vision of improving surgical practical experience and research in South Africa.

There is a great need to have better access to competent surgery within South Africa.

Our aim is to assist and improve research and access to funding for research in surgery within South Africa that will in turn improve the exposure to medical training and business practice management for young surgeons.

We aim to partner with thought leaders and researchers in the business and healthcare sphere, to assist and train young surgeons to be better prepared for successively managing a medical practice and to enable them to deliver an enhanced service to their communities.
